Galvanismus and other electrifying remedies

Author | Doug Brown

ABSTRACT: In addition to visual disturbances, a patient with multiple sclerosis experiences an annoying tingling sensation in stressful situations, culminating in an electrical sparky feeling. Themes of imponderables in this case lead to the differential diagnosis of Electricitas versus Galvanismus. While galvanism corresponds to the continuous flow of a direct current, electricity refers to the sudden discharge of friction-induced voltage. The difference in sensation is illustrated by a case of Electricitas.
